I built a lot of bathroom additions, most of them were included in major renovations like a second story addition project. Recently I bought a house and had to redo the entire bathroom myself. The previous owner had several leaks and never took care of them. I had to remove the bathroom floor, framing, plumbing, and electrical because I converted 2 bathrooms into 1 larger one. The picture to the right features my bathroom addition.

My carpenter friend told me about it in July of 2014 and how great it is, what he didn't tell me is how hard it is to install for a newbie! I still think about the 16 hour installation every now and then and laugh at myself, while I benevolently curse at Peters good but nerve wracking advice. 

I don't know if it's a man thing or what (remember Al Bundy, LOL), but I like to make my bathrooms a destination instead of a pitstop. I outfitted mine with a custom Kohler and Hansgrohe performance shower, a Jacuzzi tub, and of course a 32" Samsung Smart TV for those Scarface lazy Sundays in the hot tub.
