If you’re anything like me, you found the seductive art of trading stocks and you desperately want to acquire the right knowledge, so you can kiss your old life goodbye and say hello to the Goodlife!
This is where I keep my personal list of the best books, videos, and movies I believe have helped me grow into the direction a successful trader needs to grow. From my research and that’s a very extensive list by the way, I can safely say that all these resources below are worth your time.
You Can’t Handle The Truth?
In future posts I’ll describe my journey further as a barometer for other traders. I’m sure some people get into this game because they think they can just do it. Well just imagine showing up to a Lakers game the way you look right now at this very moment. You think you’re about to make some moves on that court with the professional athletes you see next to you? OF COURSE NOT, you’ll get your butt kicked and laughed at in the first few seconds of the game! THAT’S TRADING FOLKS in a Nutshell.
Once I watched some videos and buy some I’m talking about hours and hours of videos, I thought I knew quite a bit about trading. Well, I knew more than the guy or gal who couldn’t even bother with all those videos. But what about the guys and gals who are 10 years down the road in this game, you think you have enough skill, wisdom, and technology to beat them?
I’m not trying to scare you, but I’ve seen people blow up their account because they made some good trades before, so they thought they knew what they were doing. The fact is, trading is a professional level occupation, if you want to be good or even great at it, you’re going to have to GO PRO!
Okay now that the ugly truth is out, let me tell you how easy getting your trading education work done can be! The only traders that I know to be successful are the ones who become obsessed with their performance. Well when you get to that level of interest in trading, the problem you might face is figuring out how to make time for your other businesses, career, & family time. Sorry but trading can take over your life, and for me personally I’m still struggling with figuring out how to work all my businesses and the rest.
So if trading becomes an obsession, plan your workload out for all your required activities because trading becomes a disruptor of your daily life.
After that stage, you’ll start to figure out how to rebalance your life. And if you’re realy lucky, trading might be the only thing you do in the future. However, a lot ofus have existing businesses that would be foolish to let go of, so we simply rework our schedules and eliminate things that waste time like watching tv, commercials and all.
What did I say you might have to stop watching tv? Um, yeah! You really think you’re going to be pushing a Lambo or Mercedes this year and still watch 3 hours of TV a day! NOPE! Luckily when trading stocks becomes an obsession, you’ll be watch screens, but they will most likely be youtube videos or movies about trading that will help you reach your financial goals. Afterall, why should you waste time watching somebody else make money on a tv show, when you could be watching a “show” where you learn new information that will make you better, faster, and a stronger trader.
Well if I haven’t scared you off yet, well I guess you are showing signs that you might have what it takes at least in this single moment.
The Trick To This Trading Game, Think Limitless
Want to know a trick that makes all this easier for me? Have you ever read any books on successful people and what they do? If you have then the rest will make perfect sense, if you haven’t well, as long as you’re open minded enough it will work for you too.
I program myself.
What, what the hell is this guy even talking about? Lol, had to include a reference to the inner voice comedian Jim Gaffigan points out so well. It’s really simple folks, write a list of goals and read them every day. Driven people are learning how to hack their brains, their consciousness, and their emotional state. The fact is becoming a successful stock trader is more of a metamorphosis, unless the person already was incredibly driven in other pursuits.

Do You Have What it Takes To Become A Successful Day Trader?
Well, I happen to be one of those people who for years owned businesses and thought I had passion for them, until I really got into day trading. Turns out, I didn’t even know what passion really was until I became a day trader.
What Does A Successful Day Trader Do?
If you don’t like the idea of dedicating yourself to the craft of trading, you’re better off pursuing something else to make money. Trading stocks for profit on a daily basis always sounds easy to the uninitiated. Once you observe on a real platform like Etrade Pro or Think or Swim the amount of money you can make in seconds, minutes, or hours, you might just catch the ultimate fever like I did.
Yes it’s true, to become good at day trading, you have to work your ass off. However, if you become obsessed with figuring out how to do it correctly, working all those extra hours doesn’t even seem like work. Trading is the only occupation I’ve had in my life, that not only makes me work harder, better, and longer, but it’s actually easy to do since you can’t help yourself in your pursuit of winning “The Game of Trading”, over and over again.
I got into the stock trading fever late 2017. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve made investments and swing trades before that worked out well. However I never seriously thought about day trading until somewhere around late fall in 2017.

To me there's nothing better than watching people live trade. Tim made a great video, but you can find a lot of great live trading videos on youtube as well. Some of the strategies described in the video are outdated. I put this on the list because it helped me learn level 2 amongst other things.
